Delegate Harry Bhandari, PhD, represents Maryland’s 8th Legislative District in Baltimore County. He is a lifelong educator and public servant who attended Johns Hopkins University and earned a PhD from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
Since 2019, Delegate Bhandari has secured and supported over $150 million for District 8, with investments benefiting the schools of Rossville Elementary, Nottingham Middle, Red House Run Elementary, McCormick, Fullerton, Elmwood, Villa Cresta, Pine Grove, Overlea, Parkville, and Perry Hall.
He has also supported improvements at Linover Park, Double Rock Park, Golden Ring Park, Holland Hills Park, Franklin Point, Dearborne Dog Park, Rosedale Recreation Center, Middle River Recreation Center, Parkville Senior Center, Middle River Senior Center, Harford Park Community Center, and the AAPI community center feasibility study.
As Chair of the Land Use and Zoning Subcommittee of the Economic Matters Committee, he remains committed to addressing the housing crisis, strengthening schools, promoting responsible growth, expanding access to quality health care, supporting small businesses, and delivering results for District 8 families.
