Delegate Harry Bhandari Applauds Successful First Taekwondo Championship at CCBC Catonsville


Baltimore, MD – May 20th, 2023 – Today, Delegate Harry Bhandari, in his capacity as Chair of the AAPI Caucus, joined esteemed guests, elected officials – State Senator Benjamin Brooks and Delegate Jennifer White, and martial arts enthusiasts at the CCBC Catonsville Community College Gymnasium to celebrate the highly anticipated First Taekwondo Championship. The event, organized by Everest World Class TaeKwonDo & Family Martial Arts, showcased the artistry, discipline, and perseverance that define the world of Taekwondo.

The championship attracted Taekwondo athletes from across the country, bringing together diverse participants who exhibited exceptional skill, athleticism, and determination.

Delegate Bhandari commended the competitors for their unwavering commitment to excellence, acknowledging their countless hours of training and preparation as a testament to their dedication and love for the sport.


In his address, Delegate Bhandari emphasized the transformative power of Taekwondo beyond mere medals and titles. The Everest Taekwondo Championship school is located in Maryland legislative district 8.
